Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an exciting non-surgical and therapeutic option for patients who require hair growth stimulation for hair loss conditions.

PRP contains special cells called Platelets and Growth Factors, that can theoretically cause growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells and other cells in the microenvironment of the hair follicle. These special Platelet cells promote healing, accelerates the rate and degree of tissue healing and regeneration, responds to injury, and formation of new cellular growth.

The primary purpose of using PRP in hair restoration is to stimulate inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase.

Blood is first taken from that patient. The tube of blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the red blood cells. The PRP is then put into syringes and injected 4mm into the scalp on a 45 degree angle. Due to microinjections, the preparations pass to the hair follicle.

PRP injections in the scalp stimulate bulb cells at base of the hair and the surrounding microcirculation. Vitality, color and brightness of your hair are enhanced; their loss is slowed and their growth is activated.
